The ITIC card can be obtained by educational and academic staff who have a work contract for at least one school year and teach at least part-time within:

• Schools and institutions registered in the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MŠMT) register of schools and educational facilities in the Czech Republic.
• Schools and institutions listed in the directory of universities and directly managed organizations of MŠMT 
• Educational institutions providing one-year foreign language courses with full-time instruction since the 2014/2015 school year, whose list is available here.

• Non-teaching staff of schools 
• Teachers or academic staff working at schools abroad or at schools not registered in the register of schools and educational facilities available here. 

Details about eligibility for the ITIC card can be found in the Rules for obtaining and using ITIC (4.4.3.). If you are not eligible for the ITIC, you can opt for the AliveID card.

ITIC cards are often issued by schools as a school chip card with an ITIC license. If your school does not issue it, you can get a single-issued ITIC card, which you can easily order online.
 

To order a single-issued ITIC card, you will need: 

• A photo suitable for the card.
• Proof of identity (ID card, driver’s license, passport) 
• Application for the card issuance confirmed by the employer (the confirmation on the request must not be older than 2 months on the day the order is submitted) 

For a school-issued ITIC card, inquire about the issuance conditions directly at the school, where you will get the most accurate information.

The price of the school-issued ITIC card may vary, and the exact information will be provided by the contact person at your school. 

The price of a single-issued ITIC card (available for k zakoupení online purchase) is 400 CZK for the digital card and 100 CZK for the additional plastic card.

The ITIC card is always valid from the beginning of September of one year until the end of December of the following year. 

The validity of the school-issued ITIC card can be extended every year. You can easily handle the extension at the school, and the new validity will be visible immediately on the digital card in the Alive App. Some schools may also issue revalidation stickers for the plastic version of the card as part of the extension. The price and conditions for extending validity vary by school, so it's necessary to inquire directly at the school. 

The validity of a single-issued ITIC card cannot be extended – when the expiration date is approaching, you can order a new card online.
